David Austin and his company history:
David Austin (Dave) founder and manager of Great Brook Enterprises (GBE)
graduated from Clarkson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1978.
Inspired by the oil embargo of 1974 Dave decided to devote his life to bringing
renewable energy technologies to the general public. GBE has been his vehicle to
reach that goal. Dave has taken several R.E. training courses and done much
personal independent study. In the early 1980 s Dave installed solar water
heaters and large active and passive space heating systems and more recently
Ground Source heat pumps. The demand for solar, wind and microhydro electric
systems has steadily increased since 1990 keeping Dave busy. Having designed and
installed over 150 systems of all types in rural and urban New York State, Dave
is uniquely qualified to share some of his experience through this video. Dr.
Gay Canough of ETM Solar Works also served as a technical consultant for this
video.
