Free Site Surveys.  We travel to our site surveys in our Solar Prius. Check it out  when we come to your site!

For information more specific to your site and a system price quote a site survey is almost always required. Our site survey and initial price quote are now FREE ( for locations more than 2 hours away from us we charge $200) If at the end of our free site survey and preliminary quote you decide you would like to seriously consider purchasing a system from us we charge a down payment of $200 which goes toward the purchase of the system. The $200 covers our time preparing engineering drawings of the system, economic analysis and Utility and NYSERDA incentive paperwork for you (see below for more detail).  The fee is payable either upon completion of our site survey or later should you request it at any time in the future. You can Pay ahead to expedite scheduling the survey here if you wish. A receipt indicating our terms is available upon request. If you pay ahead be sure to come back to this page and fill in this form and return it so we can get in touch to schedule. Otherwise you will need to call us 607-847-6366. Please also be assured we do not give you a sales pitch during our site survey. The time is used to gather information specific to your site, make preliminary decisions about what might or might not be practical for the site  and to answer any questions you might have about renewable energy technology. It is our company policy to provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision about a renewable energy system purchase. After the site survey we first prepare A preliminary price quote with approximate pricing and system performance estimate. If you pay the $200 down payment you will receive 1) A complete proposal/ sales agreement that specifies materials, price (before and after NY State incentive, if applicable), info about applicable tax credits, solar sales tax exemption and a description of the financial incentive and utility interconnection process. 2) Utility interconnection application form and a copy of the Utility interconnection agreement. 3) An application form for NY State financial incentive. 4) Sales tax exemption forms. 5) An economic life cycle cost analysis forecast (on solar and wind systems only). 6) A forecast of annual energy saved by the system. 7) A cover letter with instructions as how to sign up for your system. If it looks like it may take longer than anticipated to get back to you. We will send a preliminary quote with the basic information and an estimation of performance.

Many of you are inviting your neighbors to site surveys. This is fine but  if you plan to invite your neighbors please tell us in advance so we can allow time for it. Most site surveys are scheduled on the same day as others. Surprise site surveys  strain our schedule and our capacity to send follow-up paperwork.

 We are on a first come first served basis only. Please expect 2 to 3 week turn around time to receive your follow up paperwork. Feel free to call 607-847-6366 to check on the status of your proposal if it exceeds this timing. We are doing everything possible to meet the demand and get back to everyone with limited staff.
